Watts & Dray embarked on this transformative restaurant renovation project, revitalizing an existing three-story space nestled in the historic Gaslamp District of San Diego. Conceived as a harmonious blend of tranquility and passion, the design sought to mirror the menu’s fusion cuisine, marrying flavors from East and West. The interplay of ceiling and floor planes created a dynamic backdrop, accentuating the presence of each element within the space. Flying above on the high ceiling, a fluid grid of serene colored lighting set a clubby tone, while below, a rich and hot palette infused warmth and comfort into the human scale. Anchored by our central bar design the space seamlessly fused elements of hot and cold, inviting guests to explore a world of dance floor delights.
